Best of Elchim Hair Dryer

Elchim hair dryers are the high-end brands of hair dryers that placed in the high-end of the market. They don't come very cheap. At least, they are not the cheapest of hair dryers. With some models costing more than $100, you may ask yourself whether they are worth buying or not. The answer is absolutely yes, it is important to make sure you are getting the right model.

The most popular model is perhaps the Elchim 2001 hair dryer. Though it's a very good appliance I would suggest that you look at another model from the company. It has some great features like being lightweight and having seven speed and temperature settings. It's a very good ionic hair dryer, producing a continuous flow of negative ions-cheaper appliances generate negative ions with the 'spark method', producing ions that are quickly neutralized so the beneficial ionic properties are lost. All Elchim blow dryers produce continuous negative ions.

However, what lets the 2001 dryer down is that there's no cold-shot button. In this price bracket I would want this feature. However, if you don't want a cold-shot option then you won't find a better dryer.

The Elchim Uragano Ionic dryer is another great appliance-it has been awarded the Allure Best of Beauty Award 2 years running but, again, it lacks a cold-shot button.

The two models that stand out for me would be the Elchim VIP Ionic and 5000 Da Vinci Hair Dryers. Both have a cold-shot button. The VIP is the cheaper and lighter of the two and is an ideal choice if you can't afford the Da Vinci. But, if you can afford it, then definitely consider the 5000 Da Vinci. It really has everything a good hair dryer should have.

The first thing you notice is its good looks. The handle is designed to be ergonomic, with the switches located in the center of the handle making it easy to use whether you're left or right handed. It's also one of the most 'balanced' of dryers, which makes it less tiring to use. Attention to detail is apparent when you look at the switches-they're of a soft-touch, anti-slip design.

The appliance features with a big 2000 watt motor, a ten foot cord and a 'sharp shape' nozzle and comb attachment. There are two colors available; they are red and black polycarbonate. The appliance is heat resistant and looks adorable and shiny.

There's very little left to say against this appliance; the Elchim Da Vinci really is definitely one of the best ionic hair dryers that available on the current market.
